Are you ready?

It’s time to shake things up and try something new. The time has come to feel like you truly matter in your own life.

The MAY TEN

The May Ten is your invitation to put yourself on the priority list by building movement into your life, in a realistic way. By committing to just 3 x 10-minute workouts a week and FEELING the positive impact on your day.

When we improve our day, we enhance our lives because after all, our life is just the sum of our days.

SO, WHAT exactly is The May Ten?

For the past few years, I’ve had a concept I’ve wanted to bring to life, but the timing hasn’t been right… until now.

The May Ten is a step in the right direction. It is a mindset shift, community, and commitment to self. It is all about shaking things up and landing on your own “priority list”. The pressure women feel to “do it all” and “be it all” to everyone is just insane! Yet, we do it. We feel the pressure and we carry it, but just because we carry it well doesn't mean it isn't heavy.

From the moment we wake up, to the moment we go to bed (and lie there thinking about everything we need to do, didn't do well or could have done better), we are often scrambling to meet the demands. The demands feel never ending. From family life to work and everything in between, finding the time becomes increasingly harder and whilst we have all seen the quotes about “making the time, not finding time” the reality is that there is always something else that needs our attention. A woman's day never really feels done.

It has bothered me for years how much women struggle to give themselves even a small % of what we give to others. I don’t say this from a place of being great at it either. I also find it really hard. I feel guilt, worry and fret over pretty much everything. I also know how important it is to take time for myself, so while I am not jet setting around the world kid free or off on girls weekends often (ever), I am a Mum who believes wholeheartedly that we have to lean into small efforts, daily. One weekend every blue moon is great but it isn’t the way to keep our proverbial cups full. We have to top them up daily, with little bits of time to ourselves and access habits that give us a sense of personal growth, fulfilment and success at an individual level.

This is not a challenge; the day is hard enough. This is not about depriving yourself or dropping all of life's responsibilities. We might not be able to break free from all of the demands, but we can have our own personal breakthroughs and carve out a realistic window of time and build upon it as we go. Think of The May Ten as training for taking up more space in your own life. It’s a little flex.

You matter. You deserve to feel like you exist.

Truthfully your version of The May Ten could just be lying on the floor for ten minutes and I think it is still a step in the right direction, but I have based this concept off movement because it is a fast way to feel a surge of energy, feel good hormones and a sense of pride. We all spend time doom scrolling, procrastinating and losing hours of time to the list of tasks that are never actually done (hello laundry, dishes, vacuuming and everything else) and that stuff needs to get done but it doesn’t typically elicit a dopamine dump or fill the cup up. Exercise is a direct path to changing your physiological state and we know it changes your emotional and mental state.

Movement helps to process and reduce stress, relieve anxiety, and regulate emotions.

I have worked out from home for years. Maybe you clicked follow on my account when the boys were barely walking and you remember me heading into the garage before they woke up. I am not a fully qualified personal trainer or exercise physiologist. I am however studying to be a qualified PT. I have resisted this for so long because I wasn’t sure about turning my love of training into anything bigger than my own needs, but I feel absolutely compelled to hold this space for women and the response to my Instagram stories has bolstered my intuition. So, this is not a tailored work out regime. It is an extension of my social media content and can be used as a tool for women who want it.

My style of working out could be described as efficient and varied with bodyweight movements, intervals and weights. I always want variety, my heart rate up, and to shape and sculpt without feeling like I am in training for the crossfit games. I want to be able to move freely, run when needed, have mobility, and carry all of the groceries in one trip. Thank you very much.

As someone who struggles to “get out of my own head” I love workouts that require me to be present and focused.

But… Why is this movement based?

Why Sign Up?

Because something has to change right? Getting to the end of each day and not feeling like you matter is not okay, regardless of the season of your life. We all know about seasons of sacrifice and priorities change. Trust me, I know that, and I know small achievable daily tweaks add up.

Now is your time. It is low cost, a small investment of time and has so much potential to really change things.

IF YOU SIGN UP BEFORE MAY FIRST, YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE A FREE COPY OF THE BLUEPRINT PROGRAM!

If you like the podcast, you will love The Blueprint! It is your guide to uncovering your true self, strengthen your sense of identity, intuition and vision. The Blueprint has 4 hours of audio and activities you can engage in, to really hone into the vision for your best (and current) self!

The May Ten videos will be uploaded on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday weekly. They will remain active and available for the entire month of May. Members can access videos anytime you like; you do not need to complete the workouts on specific days or specific times. The whole premise is for each member to slot the ten minutes into their own lives, at their own pace and convenience. You may find a workout you love and repeat it weekly, or you may like the novelty of a new circuit. The videos will go for the whole ten minutes so you can follow along in time. If you don’t fancy following along, you can view the written version and set your own timer. Each workout for The May Ten will have a separate video with a pre-workout chat where I demonstrate the movements, so you know what is coming next. The pre workout chat video is optional, if you like to be surprised just press play on the workout clip!

To access the videos we are using the Sunroom platform. I have chosen Sunroom to allow new members access to the previously uploaded workouts, recipes and life chats. Currently there are over 45 workouts ready and waiting for you!

If you are not familiar with Sunroom it is a hybrid of Instagram, hinge and Only fans. It is strictly for female and NON-BINARY creators.

I know it can be annoying to have another app. Trust me, I do get it. I “get to have” 3 apps alone for communicating with the boys’ school. I know app overload is a real thing and at the same time, the videos have to be hosted somewhere!

It just seems that Sunroom IS the most accessible and value filled option presently. Think of the sunroom app as your portal to The May Ten. I promise once you have the app, it all makes sense! Best of all…you can access it via your laptops and web applications. So, if it makes life easier to follow along on a bigger screen, you can set a computer up and get into it

Sunroom membership will display as $7 USD which means the membership is $10.45 AUD (this may vary slightly depending on current conversion rates).  I would have loved to offer a neat $10 (hello, we love a theme) but it isn’t an option with Sunroom. For the membership fee of $7 USD you will have access to over 45 workouts separate to The May Ten workouts. You will have 14 workouts specifically for The May Ten, plus recipes and so much more. If we do the girl math and base the month's fee off the current exchange rate, The May Ten workouts will be less than 75c each.

You can cancel anytime and literally just stay for The May Ten month. You will also have the choice of opting in to a group chat if you want to.

Group chat

One thing I know for sure is women need other women. Women know what it’s like to hold contradictory thoughts and feelings. We know what it is like to be at the mercy of our menstrual cycles. We know the mental load is invisible and it is unbearably heavy at times. I want The May Ten mindset and practices to extend beyond one person's inner experience. I want this shift to be the glue for connecting with others, for food for thought, visibility and celebration. Truthfully, I am unsure what is the best way to facilitate a group chat but in conversation with others, we think the best option to try is a Whatsapp group chat. This is a trial, but I hope it proves to be a great platform connection. It is not mandatory; it is an option.

The details for joining the group chat will be in a post on Sunroom.
